The safe hook-removal sequence

  1. Prepare.Stay calm, use good light, identify the tool and read its current instructions. Do not apply heat, petroleum jelly, nail polish or other substances.
  2. Select.Choose the hook/end that fits the tick and situation. The tool should work close to the skin without compressing the tick’s body.
  3. Position.Approach gently and position the removal end around or beneath the tick as the product instructions show. Do not pull on the swollen body.
  4. Remove as instructed.Use the controlled motion specified for that VuxLore tool. Different removal-device designs can have different instructions, so do not substitute a remembered motion.
  5. Check and clean.Confirm the tick has been removed, clean the bite area and hands, check for other ticks, and follow current regional health or veterinary guidance if concerns or symptoms develop.
