VuxLore tools are designed around a straightforward removal principle:

The aim is to support controlled removal by helping the user position the tool correctly, grip the tick close to the skin and lift it away carefully.

This approach reflects central principles found in established UK and US public-health guidance.

UK NHS guidance advises using fine-tipped tweezers or a tick-removal tool, grasping the tick as close to the skin as possible and pulling upwards slowly and firmly. Care should be taken not to squeeze or crush the tick.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises removing an attached tick promptly, grasping it close to the skin and pulling it away with steady, even pressure without twisting or jerking.

Although the wording differs, both authorities emphasise:

Responsible British Production

VUXLORE® tick-removal tools are developed in Britain and manufactured through established UK production partners.

Our tools are produced in a specialist British injection-moulding facility operating under an ISO 9001 quality-management system. The facility has implemented renewable-energy generation, energy monitoring and waste-reduction measures as part of its continuing environmental programme.

Its published initiatives include:

• Generating approximately half of its electricity from renewable sources

• Reducing energy use through onsite solar generation and energy monitoring

• Recycling approximately 90% of its plastic production waste

• Participating in Operation Clean Sweep® to help prevent plastic pellets, flakes and powder from entering the environment

• Supporting shorter, more transparent UK supply chains

Our retail cartons are manufactured in Scotland by an established specialist packaging facility operating an ISO 14001 environmental-management system.

The packaging facility uses FSC® and PEFC-certified carton board and works to reduce offcuts, recycle production materials, reduce unnecessary plastic and source board and consumables responsibly.

Together, these UK production relationships help VUXLORE® maintain closer oversight of quality, reduce long-distance transportation and develop practical improvements to products and packaging.

Ethical Sourcing and Modern Slavery

VUXLORE® has zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour or abusive working practices.

We expect the organisations involved in manufacturing and packaging our products to:

• Comply with applicable employment, equality, health-and-safety and environmental legislation

• Prohibit forced, trafficked, compulsory and child labour

• Provide lawful working conditions and treat workers with dignity and respect

• Maintain appropriate workplace safety and quality controls

• Act honestly and responsibly throughout their own supply chains

We favour direct working relationships with established UK manufacturers because they provide greater supply-chain visibility, clearer communication and closer oversight of production.

If we become aware of a credible concern within our supply chain, we will investigate it and seek appropriate corrective action. Where a serious concern cannot be satisfactorily resolved, we reserve the right to reconsider the supplier relationship.
