When to seek medical advice

Seek medical advice if you develop a spreading rash or become unwell after a tick bite. Possible symptoms may include fever or flu-like symptoms, unusual tiredness, headache, or muscle and joint pain. Mention when and where the possible tick exposure occurred. The sheet is a personal record, not a diagnostic tool.

Information reviewed against current UK Health Security Agency tick-awareness guidance and NHS Lyme disease guidance. Follow current local health advice.
